The business was formed on 10/1/79 after having experience with Delotte Haskins & Sells and two local firms, one a sole practitioner and the other a midsize firm. This spanning the largest to the smallest was invaluable.

Having been exposed to large audits and non-profit auditing and taxes was the basis to the initial thrust of the firm.

The firm targeted business clients as tax and audit clients at first and then individuals as a byproduct of the businesses and then branching out by word of mouth to unaffiliated individuals.

The firm added its first private school in 1983, followed by word of mouth additions and then followed by commercial schools and charter schools as well as an explosion in the non-profit sector. The small business, professional practices and wholesalers followed.
